Key

Here is my new inspiration. I bought these set of keys from pottery barn. I have dim  hallway/entrance to my house. When you walk in there is a small wall that is the back side to a kitchen and it has taken me quite some time finding the right elements to complete the look I wanted when you walked in.

After I bought these keys, that aren't all that big, I found a larger metal vintage key from Homegoods that matched perfectly. To finish the look I have been scouring stores looking for a medium sized mirror with a dark wood frame. It's similar to this frame below but it has a rich dark wood stain.

We will see what other treasures I find to complete the wall!

Bought new fabric! Got a cute printed fabric with little holiday sayings and a pink fabric for trim with ruffles. I also got a more holidayish one for fun. Cross your fingers!

Oh Christmas Treeeee

I got super excited about my first Christmas Tree in my new home. I plan on going to the farm next week to pick out the lovely new edition. In the meantime I thought it would be a great idea to make my own tree skirt. I am probably being a little over ambitious on this but im giving it a whirl. I could have gone and bought felt and made it all one color... but that would be too easy. Instead I plan on making a skirt of satin polyester in different colors.

After I picked out all my colors I then saw this picture which gave me a better inspiration. I had planned on doing pie shapes as well but I like the colors a lot more.

Only time will tell what I end up doing. I may be back in the fabric section again.
